Use of a Boom!™ Audio Amplifier turns off the radio's internal amplifier. Installation of a third or fourth set of speakers requires the Boom!™ Audio Speaker Expansion Kit Kit includes all mounting hardware and wiring harness.

Plays loud and clear for the last year and a half. Most people are thrown back by the noise it puts out. Sounds great at 90mph. Most radio sounds better than mp3 files. Integrates seamlessly with Nav/Phone/CB. Blasted through 7000 mile trip from Dallas to Maine and back. Sits outside 100% of the time. All systems work excellently!

Can I add this amp to my 2018 street glide special to power the fairing speakers? Or do I have to upgrade the speakers

Do I need to buy this for my 2016 CVO Limited?

I would like to upgrade the speakers and therefore I want to know if I need to add this amplifier. As far as I know the bike should already come with at least one.

Hi Enriavil, If you are planning to upgrade the speakers on your 2016 CVO Limited--a new Boom! Audio Amplifier is suggested. Yes, there is a built in amplifier on your bike; however, it may not give you the quality expected from your new speakers. A new amplifier will provide you with less distortion and optimal sound.
